June 30, 2010- Pirate Ship

This morning Mommy and I took the car to the dealership. It has been making a fun noise and needed a service check. I was not at all happy about having to wait around so Mommy got a rental so that we could go home but then I discovered the pirate ship. It was pretty cool to climb around on and there was this really cool door that went into a little room and that was my favorite part. Our car needed $2,700 worth of repairs. I think that’s a lot of money.

We got a Sienna minivan for our rental. There was so much room. Mommy loved it. She said just sitting behind the steering wheel made her feel like a soccer mom. There was even a built in mirror so she could see me in the back. The best part was the leg room and I had my own air-conditioning vent in the back. My very own! It was so nice and cool. I also could see right out the window at everything we were driving by. I kept telling Mommy, “Stuck!” and trying to get out of my car seat. I wanted to walk around and check it out. It was like a room on wheels. The only downside Mommy found was that when I dropped my sippy cup she couldn’t just reach back and get it. Mommy and Daddy asked me, “Do you like the car?”  I said, “Up High! Doors!”

On the way home Mommy and I went to Michael’s go get some paint. Wow! It was like a toy store. I saw so many things I liked. They had cars, trains, Mickey stuff, birds, flowers, etc. It was lots of fun exploring. Mommy and I found lots of things to paint that were under a $1. We came home and did some arts and crafts. I even painted the two cars that I picked out. We also finished up my 4th of July projects from art class.

We made lots of crafts using a tracing Mommy dad of my handprint.

Today Mommy was changing a poopy diaper. I’ve had really bad diahrea from the antibiotics you know. Anyway Mommy heard a little toot and before she could do anything it was shooting all over the floor. I really wanted to sit on my potty so Mommy sat me down. She cleaned up the mess and ran to get the carpet cleaner. When she got back I was standing by the potty (which was no longer empty) raising my hands in the air saying mess. She grabbed me and took me to the bath, got me dressed and then cleaned the carpet. She sat down and took a deep breath when she was done. Did you know that I woke up before 5:30 am this morning and I would not take a nap. Mommy laid me down and I stayed in there talking for about an hour before I got up. I finally crashed out at 4:30 pm watching a show in my chair.

I like putting this basket (used to hold my balls) over my head. Today I INSISTED Mommy keep it on for almost an hour. Not only that but I spent most of the time inside the basket with her. At one point it was me, her and a book in the basket. I had fun but I don’t think Mommy really likes that game. I can’t find my basket right now.

We wanted to take Daddy for a ride in the minivan so we went to Dairy Queen. I got to try a little of Mommy’s and Daddy’s.
P1180080 Daddy asked if I wanted to go to bed. I told him, “ No, Daddy you sleep!” I took his hand and then made him lay down in the middle of the floor. I covered him with a blanket and then got Mommy. I made her move and sleep on the floor too. I didn’t like the way she was lying and she couldn’t understand what I wanted. I kept pushing her down and then saying, “Wake up Mommy”, “Wake up Daddy!” and moving them around.

Later I wanted to play with Jax. I ran around shaking his toy saying,  “Jax, coommmmeee ‘er. Play!”

June 29, 2010 – Auto Trader

Today was my last art class. Mommy didn’t take any pictures because I wasn’t really up to it and we didn’t stay long. I didn’t even finish my first project. Mommy brought it home and says maybe we’ll do it and some others tomorrow at home. Apparently she is taking the car to the dealership so we’ll be stuck at home all day. After art we stopped at a Splash Pad on the way home. I had the place to myself for about 10 minutes and then another family showed up. It was perfect and not crowded like the last one we tried to go to. P1170862-1P1170909-1P1170910-1P1170866-1P1170881-1P1170900-1P1170906-1

I found a stick and thought it might go in this hole but water kept squirting out at me every time I tried shoving it in. P1170922-1P1170924-1
On the way home we stopped at the store. On the way out the door I saw the magazine rack and wanted the one with the cars on it. Mommy got the magazine for me and I looked at it all the way home. This may be my new favorite book. There were tons of cars and trucks. I keep asking which car was mine. P1170929-1 Mommy loved a coffee table and a chair into the hallway for me to eat at. I’ve been practicing eating like a big boy but I still like to fling and throw my food making a mess. Jax likes the new arrangement too because he is closer to the food.P1170938-1
We waited until Daddy got home to go in the pool. I let him walk in the door and reach the family room before I started screaming, “Pool! Water! Swim! Pool Daddy!”

June 28, 2010 - Parachute

Today was my last tumbling class. I did much better then I had at the other classes. Don’t get me wrong I still did a lot of my own thing but I participated too. I got to be the last monkey jumping on the bed (the trampoline) and I liked playing under the parachute at the end.P1170855-1P1170856-1P1170858-1P1170853-1P1170859-1I’m not feeling well (runny nose and cough) and I threw up when Mommy tried putting me down for a nap. I didn’t get to sleep until 3:30 pm.

My 2nd Audiology Report arrived today. It says…
Colton  came in for a follow-up hearing evaluation after having abnormal tympanometry and otoscopy on 6/3/10. He was treated for an episode of otitis media and antibiotics were finished. Today, tympanometry suggests normal right middle ear function and a stiffened left middle ear system. Otoscopy revealed slight redness of the left ear canal. Ear specific threshold testing was attempted; however, the patient would not condition to the task with the insert earphones in his ears.
Recommendations:
1. Note to pediatrician for follow-up and any indicated treatment plans
2. Follow-up with the pediatrician to determine need for an ENT consultation

3. Once middle ears are clear attempt ear specific audiologic testing.

June 27, 2010 – “Smells Good”

Mommy was trying to catch my “Smells good” on video. I normally say it way cuter so she said she’s going to try again. I keep smelling everything and  saying that. I’m even adding other words in this video, “smells good orange”.

Look at more poor fingers. We went swimming today and I was moving along around the edges by hanging on (like in the video from yesterday). Mommy doesn’t know if it’s because it was rough or hot but my poor little fingers are red and sore and look like they’re burnt. Mommy and Daddy feel real bad. I don’t know what I did but they hurt.

We just hung around and relaxed today. Here I am watching Little Einsteins. Whenever it is time to pat with the music I always insist that Mom and Dad pat too. I get really upset if someone isn’t patting.
