The Climber
Mommy set up my splash table this week and we've playing in it a couple times a day. It's a lot of fun. It gets hot outside and I try to climb in but Mommy never lets me.
Mommy laminated some pictures of everybody for me to play with and practice saying names. She still has to make a few more but so far I have pictures of: Grammy, Papa, Grandma Karen, Grammie & Papa Ferry, Aunt Dawn, Uncle John, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Shannon & Uncle Brent, Cassie, Johnny, Ella, Kara, Maya, Nana, Jax, Mommy and Daddy
Here I am saying hi to Grammie and Papa Ferry
Here I'm looking for Aunt Dawn and Uncle John.
Did I mention that I like to climb? One of my favorite places to climb is on the couch. It's fun to bounce on the cushions. Mommy isn't happy when I do this and she usually makes me get down. Today she gave up though and just took this video. I'm watching Handy Manny in the background.

Cobbler
This is a video of me playing with my new Batman Car.
We went over to the Cherne's for dinner. It was really good. I ate two whole corn cobs. Mmmm. We tried to go swimming but we barely got in and saw lightening so we had to get out. I did have a few seconds to try out my new floaties though and they worked good.
Cassie fed me some whip cream and peach cobbler. I liked the cobbler best.
Aunt Dawn let me help stir the whip cream
and Cassie let me feed her a little.
I was really tired and fell asleep with Uncle John. I wish he were home more and not working so hard.

Groundhog's Day
So Thursday and Friday were pretty much a repeat of Wednesday. We waiting around for the water damage people who showed up, ran tests, told us it was still wet, took away one of two fans but left us in a wind tunnel. Friday night and we are now down to only 3 fans in the kitchen drying the cabinets. Hopefully by Monday it will be done. Then we wait for the repair people to replace the baseboards, and clean the carpet and tile. Uncle John came home today so we went over there for dinner. I had my new favorite...hot dog for dinner. Uncle John took us to Toy's R Us and even bought me a Batman car. Daddy, John and Johnny dressed me up in a monkey costume while we were there and then let me run all around in it. It was pretty funny! Mommy bought me a potty. She knows it's too early but he you got to give it to her for hoping. I got to ride the Snoopy ice cream truck on the way out and Cassie won a stuffed teddy bear in the crane game. All the grownups got Pixie Sticks but they shared a little with me.

Sleepover
We had a sleepover at the Cherne's. It was really hot and noisy at our house with all the fans so Aunt Dawn let us stay there. She even gave up her bed for use. I've slept in it before but Mommy and Daddy thought it was really nice. It's such a big bed that we all had a ton of room. Thanks to the Cherne's for letting us do laundry and spend the night! We took Daddy to work and then came home to wait for the water damage people. We had to stay in the bedroom most of the day because there were machines and an extension cords all over the place. When the water people finally came they said it was still wet (the test with machines) and the fans have to stay.

Final Day of Trip
This morning we woke up and Grandma Karen and Aunt Shannon drove us to the airport. Security leaving Detroit was much easier than Phoenix. We got to skip most of the line because we had liquids for a baby. The guy checked my sippy cups with a machine and not litmus paper like in Phoenix. We were through in like 2-3 minutes. We got McDonald's for breakfast but I actually had two hamburgers because they were serving lunch too.

Aunt Dawn, Cassie, and Johnny met us at the airport. Cassie even got our bags for us. I missed them and was so excited to see them all.
We arrived home to 18 fans and multiple humidifiers. The water line to the refrigerator burst and flooded the front part of the house while we were gone. Thank goodness Aunt Dawn came by to check on things and found the mess. She cleaned it up and called for help. Thanks Aunt Dawn! It was also convenient that we just sold the futon and pool table in one of the flooded rooms the day before we left so there wasn't really any damage.

This is my sign for more because I wanted some of Daddy's fries. After breakfast/lunch we changed my diaper and it was time to board the plane. We sat down and got settled and I fell asleep before we even took off. I slept for about an hour and a half. I played with toys, watched some tv on the I-pod and ate lots of snacks. I was pretty good until the last few minutes when I just wanted out and was letting everyone know. The flight attendant said I was better then most adults who fly.

Day 5 in Michigan- Potter Park Zoo
Today we woke up and went to the Potter Park Zoo in Lansing. It was Mommy, Daddy, Grandma Karen, Aunt Shannon, Ella, Kara, Maya, and Me.
It was really cool. I got to sit in the front of a double stroller. It was neat because there was no bar in front of me like on my stroller. Maya, Kara, and even Ella at one point took turns riding behind me. Their zoo was different and had lots of different animals that our zoo doesn't have.
I got to pet the goats. They felt funny but were kind of like dogs.
Here I am with Ella in a kangaroo cutout.
Grandma Karen gave me a good view of the prairie dogs.
We feed the ducks at this lake.
I rode the camel with Ella and Kara.
Now I've ridden an elephant and a camel.
I didn't understand and kept trying to eat the pellet at first. I eventually figured out I was supposed to feed the llama. It tickled when he ate out of my hand.

Daddy and Ella monkeying around.

After the zoo Grandma Karen took us to the mall to go shopping for some Michigan t-shirts. Daddy has really been wanting one and he even found one for me and Mommy. After the mall we went to Jill "Beanie" Graves house. She was an ex-girlfriend of Papa Ferry's and Brian has remained in contact.
I thought it was so funny to hang from her porch rafters.
Ring Around the Papa
Daddy and Papa wrestled. Can you tell who one? It was a Sunday though and that's beat your dad day in the Ferry household.

Later we went over to Papa and Grammy Ferry's house to visit. They have a big empty basement with lots of room to play. There was a big box that Daddy and I got played in.

Day Four in Michigan
Daddy left before I woke up and went golfing again with Papa Ferry. My cousins and I played inside and outside. I'm really having fun here and there's all kinds of new toys to play with.

Isn't baby Maya too cute? Mommy and I love all the girl's big blue eyes.
When Daddy and Papa got back from golfing the boys took over babysitting duty while the girls stepped out. Mommy, Grammy Ferry, Aunt Shannon, and cousin Ella went to the mall and got pedicures. Mommy's feet looked so good. Even Daddy was impressed! They did a really good job smoothing the bottom of Mommy's VERY calused feet. They did a little shopping in Gymboree and Children's place too. Aunt Shannon got me new jammies and Ella got some school clothes and a backpack.
I really liked sitting with Ella. Today I even said here name a couple of times.
Kara shared some of her chips with me. I wanted them all but she taught me how to share.
I've been eying this toy since we walked in the door. Why didn't I ever have one? Finally baby Maya wasn't playing with it and I tried to get in. What's with this thing? Turned out it wasn't that fun at all from the inside.
Cousin Kara gave me a big hug today.
I can't really figure out the whole jumping thing yet but bouncing and walking on the trampoline was fun. I learned that it's almost impossible to stand up when everyone else is jumping but I kept trying anyway.
More hugs from Ella.
