Coming Home

I'm home! I got to leave the hospital today. Last night they let mommy stay with me all night in what they called a Nesting Room. It was fun to have mommy there and we spent all night just starring at each other. In the morning they gave me a car seat test to make sure I could breath ok sitting up. I failed the first time but they gave it to me again and I really wanted to go home so I made sure I passed. Aunt Dawn came to get us and drove us home.

My Arrival

This was my final sonogram the day before I arrived. Notice I'm flipping off the camera.

Mommy was on a fieldtrip with her class from school. They went on a picnic for the end of the year. Mommy was watching a water balloon toss and I was sleeping when she got hit in the stomach with a football. I was pretty upset and decided to get out of there. So here I am! I was born at 9:09 pm on April 25th, 2008. I weighed 7lbs 10 oz and was 20 & 1/2 inches long. I was born 4 weeks early and had RDS (Respiratory Distress Syndrome) from my underdeveloped lungs. I had to stay in the NICU at Desert Banner Hospital for five days. They had all sorts of machines and tubes hooked to me. I didn't like being without my mommy and daddy but the nurses took good care of me.
