July 29, 2010 – Splash Pads Are Not Showers!

 Mommy took me to one of the splash pads today. She wanted me to wear my green swim trunks that she bought on clearance at the end of last year. We don’t have a shirt that matches so Mommy just Photoshoped the colors to make it match. Check it out! The shirt is usually green and yellow. She even made my Crocs green. Mommy is so silly! I played in the water for awhile but then decided to go on the playground. I was all wet so the slides didn’t even feel that hot (plus they are in a shaded area). I didn’t even freak out so much about the sand on my feet. Ok I freaked out a little but way better then usual. This park has little paths to the equipment so although I didn’t have to walk in the dirty sand I still got some on me.
   
I wasn’t as hesitant as usual on the suspension bridge. I still went pretty slow but I didn’t even crawl once.
 
This little boy was super annoying. He chased me around with his fishing pole stick and kept poking me in the head. He also pushed me out of the way and stole the squirt gun. My Mommy said his Mommy was annoying too. She left a dirty diaper by the splash pad and one on the playground when she left. Ewww! Gross! Some people!

I liked the buckets a little more today. I would stand under but get scared and I always moved before it dumped.
This park has these perfect little curbs that wind around and they are perfect for me to walk along and practice balancing.

Mommy likes this splash pad because it’s the closest and it is never crowded. Today she had second thoughts though when this homeless man striped down to his boxers and socks and preceded to shower  in the spray rings. Ewww! Yucky! I was pooped when we got home and just wanted to kick back and relax with movie. After a few minutes I told Mommy it was nap time and went back and put myself to bed. I even told Jax bye-bye.  

This is from yesterday when I was eating my popsicle and looking through the phonebook. It was really windy tonight and it even rained again. I didn’t get to go swimming because of the storm but I like watching the rain. Why does Mommy keep taking these pictures of the sky? I’m not even in them!

July 29, 2010 – Blog Hop

It’s been awhile since I’ve participated in any blog hops but thought I’d jump back in there today with the Pixel Perfect Before and After Blog hop to show off my newly discovered trick. Here are the SOOC (Straight out of the camera) shots. You have to take multiple shots from a fixed location. Ideally you would use a tripod but I just set the camera down on the bench.
  
I opened all the pictures in Photoshop and then cut and paste them onto each other. I used the eraser tool to erase where my son had moved to in each frame. At the end I flattened the picture and edited the exposure but just barely. What do you think? I’d love to see what other people do with this technique. Come back and show me if you try it out.

July 28, 2010 - Popsicle

Mommy had plans to take me to some places today but I was so grumpy we just decided to stay home.Mommy and Daddy moved my ti

s a cool

down zone. The first time I was upset Mommy didn’t want to play in the basket. The second time I did it I was upset because she wouldn’t let me watch a show.

I was playing with the turtles and elephants from Noah’s ark. I was playing so cute and talking up a storm so Mommy got the camera out. Of course I had to cut back on all I was saying but Mommy still thought it was cute. She really loves to watch me play pretend and get all into something all by myself. I tried pulling the elephants ears off and I threw the turtles on the floor. Don’t worry I told them, “Sorry. Don’t cry” and gave them a kiss.

 

 

Mommy made homemade popsicles out of fruit juice. I got to try the first one today. It was made out of orange juice and was so good! I sat down outside and at the whole thing. We just got a new phonebook so I flipped through that while I ate. I even got to go swimming when I was all done to rinse off.

       
Mommy is still taking pictures of clouds but tonight we finally got some actual rain. It poured for about 15-20 minutes. Mommy took me outside and let me feel the rain and see the lightning. It’s been a long time since we had rain.

Mommy built me a fort out of the couch cushions. I wasn’t really fond of it but I did like jumping on the pullout bed when the cushions were off.
 
My was working on my letters and teaching me to write my name. I practiced my c’s and my j’s. Not bad huh? Do you see where I wrote CJ?
