June 8, 2010 - “You did something new today. Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!”

Ok so we are going to have our first ever blog contest. The first person who can correctly identify where the post title (You did something new today. Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!) comes from will win an art project made by yours truly. It will even be mailed directly to your home. The only stipulation is you must comment to this post (look at bottom of post). Good luck the race is on!P1190193
Mommy filled my crocodile pool again today and I played outside in it for a long time. I stuck my ear in the water and listened to the fishes and I finally learned to blow bubbles underwater.  Mommy was so excited because she’s been trying to get me to do that for over a year. I did something new today. Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!

Today after I discovered I was getting wrinkly I tried to wash it off so I could stay longer. I’m getting much better with manners and use my please and thank you numerous times a day. Mommy says it is really hard to turn down my cute, “Pweeezzee! Pweeeeezzze!” This morning when I asked for a show followed by, “pweeezzeee”, she gave in. This afternoon when I wanted a few more Ritz crackers and said, “Pweeezzee Mommy” she headed for the kitchen. Tonight I wanted to play light sabers but she didn’t want to. When I said, “Wanna play? Pweezzee”. She thought it was so cute that she jumped up and joined in.
Today I was watching one of my shows, Merry Madagascar, and Mommy decided to film my laugh. There is this one part where a little girl tumbles down the stairs and then jumps back up. I love that part and giggle so hysterically every time I see it. Mommy had to keep rewinding the dvd until she was ready to film so this is how I was still laughing (not as loud or long as the first) after watching it like 5 times. The video below is me playing with a flashlight and shining it on lots of different things.

P1190304 CACTUS Mommy has been wanted to do one of these Young Me Now pictures for a long time and over the weekend she finally took one. The first picture was taken a long time ago when Papa planted this saguaro at their old house in Tucson. Mommy returned to the house and took her picture in front of the same cactus. Look how HUGE it is now!
