March 7, 2011- Let’s Go Fly A Kite

It was finally windy enough to fly my first kite. We’ve tried with another kite many times before but it just never materialized. The Cherne’s sent me a tiny airplane kite for Valentine’s Day and it was perfect! It was super easy to get in the air. I didn’t even have to run and I didn’t really need Mommy or Daddy’s help for anything. I did it all by myself! Whenever it landed I could just pull the string really hard and it would go back up. We started off in front of the house but it wasn’t working that great and kept getting too close to things. We tried going up to the school field but it was all locked up. We ended up in an almost deserted parking lot. It was fun and I even did a few tricks with my new kite. I can’t wait to fly it on a beach.
