Happy Halloween!

This is my spider made with my hand prints. We do lots of crafts at Misty's.

I painted this pumpkin at Misty's on Friday.

Mom spent the morning using left over arts and crafts supplies to convert my car into the Bat Mobile.

The back was my favorite part.
Mom even made my head lamp shine the Batman sign. I helped Mommy clean out our pumpkin.

There was lots of yucky stuff in there.
Mom did all the carving and she made a spider.

Sloppy joes and tater tots for dinner.
We even found a cat women to pose for pictures.

Here is a video of me trick-or-treating.

A lot of the houses in Aunt Mickey's neighborhood were decorated. This house had a ton of jack-o'-lanterns.

Batman and Robin wrestling around.

This morning Daddy went and played golf with some friends. Mommy and I had some errands to run so we were out running around. When I woke up from my nap it was dinner time. We decided to jump on the bandwagon with the Cherne tradition of sloppy joes and tater tots. It was good and I made a mess but it was a special treat. After dinner Daddy and I got all dressed up in our costumes. We went to Kiwanis Park where there was a big carnival. It was fun and we even entered a costume contest. We didn't win but we got lots of comments all night! We left Kiwanis and went to Aunt Mickey's neighborhood where we trick-or-treated and then visited with her a little bit. I had a few bites of chocolate that Daddy shared with me. Mmmmm! I didn't go to bed until 11 pm.

Mommy took lots of pictures but we could only post a few. If you want to see them all just click here: http://picasaweb.google.com/kimberlyapennington/Halloween09?authkey=Gv1sRgCPCEhoursMie_AE

Birthday Party

Riley, one of Daddy's friends, has a little boy named Aiden. Today was his 1st birthday and I was invited. I had fun playing with the other boys. I was really tired and fussy though by the time we got home.

18 Months Old

1 Month 6 Months
12 Months
I'm 18 months old today! Here's my nose.

Here's my belly button and I'm bored with this game.

Tugger Free Zone

My 1st skinned knee. Eating my banana where Jax can't get me.
My Good-bye Tugger video
Yesterday we went to a neighborhood potluck. It was fun to meet the neighbors and there is a little boy named Benton (19 months) who lives down my street. We both took our cars and Benton even pushed me for a little while. I feel down running in the street and skinned my knee. I keep bending down to see it and touch it. This morning for snack I had a banana. Jax kept trying to jump up and get it so I went in his cage for some privacy. Right now I'm finishing up hour 57 without any tuggers. It took me a little longer to go to bed last night and I still haven't had a nap today but Mom and Dad keep telling me they are so proud of their big boy.

Little Explorer

Little Thinker

Today I stayed home with Mommy. One of Misty's daughters was sick (turns out she has strep). She sent a text to let Mommy know. She was still willing to let me go and said she would try and keep her daughter isolated but Mommy decided to keep me home. I was sick already a couple of weeks ago and Mommy had to stay home 3 days until I got better and she didn't want that to happen again. Mommy and I watched the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and when I saw a train I said, "Choo choo" and then this evening I said, "eyes". I was pointing to my ears when I said it but those are really the only two I mix up sometimes. We went to Mommy's school and I got to meet some of her students. I climbed right up into one of the desks in Mrs. Johnston's room. Then we went and got Daddy for lunch at McDonald's. I got to eat an ice cream cone that was just my size. It was SO good! Daddy let me play with his headlamp and I explored all the dark spots down the back hallway. It was lots of fun! Mommy figured that since it was going to be a 3 day weekend that it was the perfect time to "detugger"(pacifier) me. She took it away when I got out of bed this morning and then hid all the others. It's now been over 14 hours that I've been tuggerless. I got a little fussy for it and went looking in the usual spots for one but I think I did pretty good. It took me about 5 minutes to fall asleep at nap time. For bed it was a little tougher and took about 40 minutes. It's going to be tough but I think I can do it. On another note I'm drinking small bits of milk again. Woo hoo!

Words

Check out my word list (on the right side all the way at the bottom after the pictures). New words are now being added daily. Mom was so impressed when I walked in the room today and asked, "What are you doing?" I learned that she was stripping the sheets on the bed to start a wash.

Big Boy Table

Look at me! Today I ate at the big kids table.I got to use glitter for the first time yesterday. It was cool and sparkly as it came out."Harvest Time"

"Orange Juice"

I've been learning body parts. My favorite is nose but I also know eyes, ears, head, and mouth. I'm just learning belly button and like to ask Mom what it is. When I take a bath I like to explore other areas and have been asking Mom, "What's this?" Mom should probably be using the proper name but she calls it my pee pee and tonight I started saying it. When I got out of the bath and Dad was putting on my diaper Mom shot some video. She wants to know if most 17 month old boys are so excited about their pee pee.

Here I am reading Daddy a story.

Footloose

Last night Daddy was watching Footloose on tv and I walked in just in time for the final song. I just started dancing away. Daddy joined in and Mommy filmed a video of us. Watch for the move that Mommy calls my chicken wing. Today, Mommy thought she'd let me try my markers again (last attempts didn't turn out so well) but now she says I'm still not quite ready. As soon as Mommy turned around I started making a mess, tasting the markers, coloring myself, and then pushing on the ends to make the ink come out. We used crayons after I got all cleaned up. I'm still pretty tired from my trip and today I was playing fireman in my hat and in the bed. Mommy went to take a shower and when she got it she was wondering why it was so quiet. She took a picture of me sleeping in the fire engine bed.

On The Way Home

Today we checked out of the hotel and picked up Nana at Aunt Mae's before beginning the journey home. We stopped and hung out at Nana's for about 5 hours before we hit the road for home. I went for a ride on the golf cart so Grammie could get a new gate key. I like to go fast or drive all by myself!
After my nap today I woke up and saw my ears so I put them on and was wearing them when Mom came in to get me. I think she knows I had a good time. Thanks Mom and Grammie!

Disneyland Day 3

Splash pad play area inside Bug's Life at California Adventure

Flik's Flyer
Cotton candy...mmmm!

My new pirate hat.The mini-fridge was cool. I could open it, sit in it and get whatever I wanted out all by myself.
Today we started off at California Adventure again. We rode Monster's Inc, watched Aladdin, meet Goofy, rode Flik's Flyer again, played in the water at Bug's Life, and ate lunch. It was hot today and I really enjoyed getting wet and playing in the water. There was a big kid who was looking out for me and another little boy that came up and said, "Want to come play with our baby?" (pointing to his little brother). After we left the park we went to Huntington Beach and I got to play in the sand. I let my feet get wet in the water but it was cold. I liked the sand but I didn't like it stuck to my hands so I kept trying to eat it.
