January 6, 2010 – My Own Camera

   I kept wanting to take pictures with Mommy’s camera so she finally got out an old one (small one we used to send to daycare) and let me have it. I had lots of fun taking pictures. I’ve got to learn to get my finger out of the way though.  The first two shots were Mommy and Daddy but the rest are mine.
 
I showed Daddy my new camera as soon as he walked in the door from work.
     
I told Mom and Dad to get a picture and kept saying, “Smile!” I told Daddy once to “Smile. No! Smile happy!”

Where’d Santa Go?

I have really been talking a lot. The other day after mom picked me up from school I just kept talking. By the time we got part of the way home mom decided to start writing down everything I was saying because I just kept going. Here’s what I said on our short ride home: “All done play with friends? Go home? Where’s ‘bastian? He in classroom? Santa went back North Pole. Christmas ooooo-ver! All put away. He’ll be back. Is my snake in the car? Is my snake at home? A stop sign. 1, 2, 3, now go! Another stop sign. Three big bumps. I gave ‘bastian a hug. I gave ‘bastian a kiss. Don’t be sad mommy. Daddy’s sad? Daddy at work? Grandma at work? Grandma’s at home with me? A show in road! All home! Daddy’s house? My juice! My snake too! I wanna clean up toys…piggy.

January 2, 2010 – New Years and More

I asked Mommy if I could take pictures with her camera and she actually let me. I did pretty good if I do say so myself. Here are my shots…

 
Today we took a drive out to Canyon Lake and the Apache Trial (it was closed). We ate at the restaurant in Tortilla Flats. I got to have a corndog! The restaurant was covered with dollar bills all over the walls inside. I thought the Jukebox was cool and I danced a little in front of it before we headed out. Mommy left the house without the battery to her camera so she had to use her old camera she keeps in her purse.
We stopped at the Goldfield Ghost Town on the way back. I saw a cowboy gunfight and it was pretty cool! We even rode a train around the old mine.
  This was cool. It is a cutout and those are the clouds you are seeing behind it.
  Grandma just told me I couldn’t have any more ice cream but then she shared another bite.
