My favorite thing to do these days is swim, swim and swim some more. I beg mom and dad day and night to swim in the pool. I just can’t seem to get enough. I’m still going to swim lessons but now I just go once a week on Tuesday nights. To pass my next level I need to be able to jump in the water and turn to airplane all one my own and float for at least 10 seconds, I need to be able to jump in and turn and grab the wall, and do my underwater superman to the steps or wall (face all the way in and blowing bubbles). I’m doing really good but I’ve had a little set back and started getting scared. I really don’t like jumping in these days and want someone to be right there to catch me. I love swimming with my jacket because I can go everywhere all by myself. I also love being throw up high by daddy (they do this at school to but I hold the noodle because I don’t have a jacket).
We went to check out a house the other day and mommy thought it was funny that I insisted on wearing these goggles and bringing my tools. On Saturday we had a photo shoot with MckMama. She writes a blog (http://mycharmingkids.net/) that mommy loves to follow and it is really what got mommy started in loving photography. She is always trying to learn stuff and copy techniques that Jennifer uses. Jennifer is daddy’s age, lives in Minnesota, is a Christian, a photographer, used to be a teacher, and has five kids (10 months, 2, 3, 4, & 6). Mckmama and her family are traveling across the country in an rv this summer and one of their stops was here. Mommy was so excited to meet her and for the opportunity for her to take our pictures. We met her at the Desert Botanical Gardens and spent almost an hour walking around, taking pictures and talking. Mommy can’t wait to see the pictures but because of the nature of her trip, multiple shoots and editing she is going to have to wait over 6 weeks. You know how impatient my mommy, especially when it comes to pictures, so it will be hard but worth it. Below is a picture of mommy with Mckmama.
Mommy took a few pictures so you could see what we were wearing and how handsome I looked but you’ll have to wait for the real thing just like the rest of us. I had two different outfits and I switched halfway through the photo shoot. The red outfit was my second outfit.
After it cooled down Saturday night Mommy and I went to the park and played until a little after dark.
Graphic information to follow: After we got home from the park mommy noticed she was bleeding. When you are pregnant you aren’t suppose to bleed so mommy was particularly worried. She went to the hospital and had to stay there all night. They ran test on mommy and did an ultrasound to look at the baby. My baby brother or sister was ok and mommy’s cervix was closed so that was a good sign and the doctors sent her home. Then last night Mommy woke up and was bleeding a lot again so first thing this morning daddy took me to school and they went to the doctor. Mommy’s doctor checked her again and the baby still looked ok and the cervix has still closed (if it was open then mommy would’ve been having a miscarriage and losing the baby). They did an ultrasound and got to see the heartbeat and all. The doctor tried taking a peak but couldn’t tell if I was getting a brother or a sister. From what she could see she thinks mommy’s placenta is covering the cervix (placenta previa). They have to go back tomorrow afternoon for a more thorough ultrasound to check things out. We will also probably get to know if it will be a boy or girl. For now mommy is on bed rest and isn’t allowed to pick me up. That is going to be hard for the both of us to get used to and I guess this is going to change our summer of fun plans a little bit. Keep mommy and the baby in your prayers.
