Happy Halloween

Today was Halloween. Mommy and I went over to the Cherne's to celebrate. They ate sloppy joes and tator tots for dinner. I played with lots of Halloween stuff. I ate a little plastic pumpkin and watched one that moved around the table. I dressed up as Tigger and we all sat outside to hand out candy. I was a big boy and wasn't scared by any of the costumes. I was getting tired but when I saw a group of little girls I perked right back up.

6 Month Check-up

I had my 6 month doctor visit today. Mommy asked lots of questions but the doctor say I'm doing just fine. We still have to keep waiting for my discharging eye to clear up. I have allergies and that's why I'm always stuffed up and cough. I have eczema on my right eyebrow and the back of my neck. It itches and I scratch at it but the doctor told Mommy to put Aquafur on it to help. My hydrocelle is looking bruised again so the doctor referred us to a pediatric urologist and I go to that doctor on November 11th. I got four shots but I showed what I big boy I am and stopped crying after about 3 seconds. I weighed 18 lbs 11 ounces.

Daddy's Court

Daddy had his sentencing today (a charge from 2005 before he changed). It went better then we had thought. The judge gave him 6 months in county jail and recommended work furlough. If he gets back into work furlough we'll get to see him during his time. He'll be done and back home 2 days before my 1st birthday. Mommy and all the family we're very pleased and said it was an answer to prayers. We just hope Daddy stays strong because going back when he is doing everything right must be so hard.

Daddy's Day

Today I stayed home with Daddy. It was just the two of us and we had a lot of fun playing with my new toys. When Mommy got home we took Daddy to have a little fun. First, we took him to have a pedicure. Daddy really enjoyed it! Next we went to the driving range so Daddy could hit a bucket of balls. He is pretty good and will teach me someday. For dinner we went to Aunt Dawn's. It was so good! She made ham, scalloped potatoes and green beans. I got a special treat for dinner and had my first vegetable...peas. Mmmmm! I thought they were pretty good. After dinner Grammie and Papa watched me while everybody else went bowling. I heard that Daddy beat everyone in 4/5 games.

My 6th Month Birthday

Today we had a party for my 6th month birthday. It was a little early but we wanted to celebrate with Daddy just in case he isn't around for my 1st b-day. It was so much fun. Thank you everyone! Aunt Dawn made yummy tacos! Grammy, Papa, Mommy, Daddy, all the Cherne's, and Aunt Mickey came to celebrate. They even bought me a bunch of presents. I got a mickey blanket, an Elmo puppet, a zoo train filled with animals that moves and sings songs, a singing turtle, a singing dinosaur, a pop up book, and a dump truck that will grow with me that I can ride, push or pull. Grammy and Papa brought Dawn my fire engine bed so I'm pretty much taking over their living room.

Tempe Town Lake

Mommy made Daddy a big breakfast this morning and he gobbled it up. We went to Grace Community Church for the Venue service (contemporary). After church this morning we went out to lunch with Dawn, John and Cassie to Dilly's Deli. Later Mommy and Daddy took me to Tempe Town Lake. I saw my first choo choo train. We went for a walk (actually I rode in the stroller) along the water. We even brought Jax along but he got too tired to walk and rode in the bottom of the stroller. Grammy and Papa took us all out to dinner at the Outback. Dad got a huge Porterhouse steak and he finished it all.

Buckaroo Bear

We went to Build-A-Bear tonight and Daddy made me a teddy bear. Daddy named him Buckaroo and he even has Daddy's voice inside. It says, "CJ how's Daddy's little buckaroo? Daddy loves you!" Now CJ can listen to Daddy's voice whenever he wants while he is gone. Good idea Aunt Dawn. Thanks!

Arizona State Fair

We started the day by going to church. After church Mom and Dad did the grocery shopping. I was apparently just along for the ride because they didn't get anything I asked for. After lunch we went to the State Fair. I had so much funny looking around at everything. Mom and Dad thought I'd be able to ride some kiddie rides (in their lap of course) but they wouldn't let me on anything. Mom and Dad played some games and tried to win me some toys but they didn't have much luck. Before we left we saw a figure-eight demolition derby. It was loud and the cars went fast but I enjoyed it. I love to spend time with my Mommy and Daddy. It was pretty cold outside today so I wore my sweatshirt and was all bundled up in pants, a long sleeve shirt and then Daddy wrapped my feet in his sweatshirt.

5 Month Check-Up and Family Pictures

The NICU Nurse came out to the house for my check-up today. I'm on the scale in the picture up above. I weighed 18 lbs 4 ounces and was 27 1/2 inches long. She says I'm doing really well. I'm in the 70% for weight, 100% for height and 50% for head size. I've met all my 4 month milestones and a bunch of my 6th. The only thing I lost points on was talking because I don't do it all the time.

We had our family pictures taken for my 5 month pictures at the end of last month. We got them back today. Check out our family pictures:

Drive-in Take Two

We went to the Drive-In again last night. The Cherne's invited us and we watched Nick and Nora's Infinite Play List and Bunny House. I was such a good boy! I sat on every one's lap and just hung out. Of course I ate and eventually fell asleep. Aunt Dawn made Kettle corn and Daddy really liked it. Mommy had early release today so she picked me up early and took me back to school so everyone could see me. Tomorrow and Friday there is not school so Mommy will be home with me all day. =)

Grammy and Papa Ferry

We started the day by going out to breakfast at IHOP. I can't wait until I get to eat this good stuff. After breakfast we took Grammy and Papa Ferry to our church. Daddy and Papa went golfing while Grammy, me and Mom hung out at home and went shopping at the mall. I'm sure glad Grammy and Papa came to visit and meet me. We had a lot of fun.

Aunt Dawn's

Here are some pictures from my first week at Aunt Dawn's. Thank you Dawn for all the pictures and cute captions. I got so excited at standing...I threw up...that's why I'm shirtless. I didn't want to stop and change yet..I have figured out that if I stiffen my body and refuse to bend they can't make me sit.
My favorite way to play duck, duck, goose. I love to read...and be read to. I love to follow along, and am trying hard to help turn pages on big books. I can do it myself with my little baby books! Cool!
Can't you see I am busy? More pictures? Enough with the flash already Aunty.
This is me snoozing with my new bear in a bunny suit. Why are they confusing me with cross dressing animals I do not know......but its snuggly and I like it.

Mommy's first week back at work is over!

Today Mommy got to sleep in and Daddy, Grammy and Papa Ferry took me to Aunt Dawn's. They all went out to breakfast at Mimi's Cafe. I had fun at Aunt Dawn's and I even practiced standing up (holding the ottoman). I was such a big boy and I was really happy and proud of myself. Mommy survived the whole week back at work. Thanks Aunt Dawn!!! Mommy couldn't do it without you and she sure would worry a lot more if I were with any one but you. Tonight we went out to dinner at Chili's.

Grammy and Papa Ferry

Grammy and Papa Ferry came to visit and I finally got to meet them today. I was tired and grumpy at first but I'm so glad to see them. We went out to eat at Maria Maria in Tempe Marketplace. It was a very fancy Mexican restaurant but it was expensive and not that good.

Mommy Goes Back to Work

So Mommy had to go back to work on Monday and I've been hanging out with the Cherne's. Mommy wakes me up really early and drops me at Aunt Dawn's. We have a lot of fun and play all day. Aunt Dawn tells Mommy and Daddy I'm being a good boy. Mommy sure misses me! Aunt Dawn even made good stuff for dinner and sent it home for Mommy and Daddy when I was picked up. They ate spaghetti and meatballs the first night and then tamales, rice and beans the second night. Mommy says Aunt Dawn is the best. Thanks Aunt Dawn!
