Grammie and Papa Bring Jax

My doggie Jax came home late last night. It was really exciting and I just starred at him. He wouldn't come near me at first but I liked watching him on the back of the couch. Today he keeps licking my toes and I really like that. I think we will be good friends. Grammie and Papa are here again and they had an open house at mommies old place. Mommie got me all dressed up and I went over there to visit. Today was daddy's birthday so we went shopping at the mall. It was my first trip to the mall and my first time using my stroller. I had fun and daddy made sure that I saw the WHOLE mall...twice. After the mall we went out to dinner at the Claim Jumper. They brought daddy a brownie with ice cream dessert.

Aunt Mickey's Visit

My great aunt Mickey came to see me today. We had fun and she held me lots. She even brought presents. She gave daddy chocolate chip cookies and I saw mom eat a few so I think I get to taste some in my breastmilk tomorrow. Yummy!

Doctor Visit

I had to go to the doctor again today. I thought it would be like the other times but today I got my 2nd Hepatitis B shot. It hurt and I cried for a minute. Today I weigh 9 lbs and 12 oz. I was 21 and 1/4 inches long. The doctor says that I look good and everything is going well.

Surfboard Tummy Time

The landlords sent me a surfboard floormat. I had lots of fun playing with it. It will be good for me to use for "tummy time" and to build my neck muscles. It was really nice of them to send this. Thanks Scott and Allison!

Great-Grandma Allece's Visit

My great grandma came to visit me. She drove all the way from Palm Springs, California. I also got to see my cousins Brenda, Ashley, Jenny and Alexa. Great-grandma said I had lots of hair (everybody says that) and held me a lot. She thinks mommy is too rough with me and burps me too hard. Cousin Cassie and Johnny got out all there Build-A-Bear clothes and we played dress-up. Mommy is so silly but I had fun.

NICU Nurse Home Visit

Today a nurse came to the house to see me. She is from the hospital and comes to check on all the premature babies. She said I look good. I weighed 8 lbs and 1 oz. She answered all of mommies questions and gave here lots of good information. She told mommy that it is normal and most premature babies sneeze a lot, have the hiccups and put their hands in front of their face. I do all those things! Mommy is suppose to be careful and not overstimulate me. She will come back again in July to see how I'm progressing and they'll keep tabs on me as I grow up.

Aunt Dawn's

We went to Aunt Dawn's again today. Mommy and Daddy ate some really good food and I got to be held by everybody. Aunt Dawn took lots of good pictures of me with mommy and daddy. I like spending time with family.

Doctor Visit - Weight Check

I went to the doctor again today. They wanted to check my weight and make sure I was getting bigger. Guess what? I was! I weigh 7 lbs and 6 oz and am getting close to my birth weight again. The doctor wants me to put on an oz a day until I'm a little bigger. My right eye is really watery and always has goopy stuff building up. The doctor says this is pretty common and that my tear duct might be clogged. She told mommy not to worry that it will probably go away on its own. It doesn't really bug me but mommy is always cleaning it.

My Trip to the Cherne's

We went to Aunt Dawn and Uncle John's today after Daddy got out of work. It was fun and Aunt Dawn took lots of pictures. Cousin Cassie and Johnny both held me. I'm really spoiled over here and I like it.

The Big Day -My Circumcision

Today was a big day. I had to go to the doctor to get circumcised. Mommy and daddy were nervous (of course daddy was a little more worried and mommy said he paced in the waiting room). I did really good. I cried really loud but mommy and daddy couldn't hear because they weren't allowed in the room. I hope it doesn't keep hurting.

1st Doctor Visit

I went to the doctor for the 1st time today. Mommy really liked the doctor's office and all the staff. I had to get some blood work and they wanted to see how my jaundice was improving. I weighed 7 lbs and 1 oz today. I looked good and we come back tomorrow for my circumcision.
